Burglary near you

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Hall Drive, Burley in Wharfedale, this occurred sometime between 1.45am and 2am on 29/09/2025. The method of attack was by blow torch and then snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

The suspect/s managed to gain entry to the patio doors but appear to have been disturbed by the victim's dog. Nothing has been reported missing from the property. 

Crime occurrence 13250557992 refers.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (times) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
